Golden Dragon Buses have been forbidden in Russia

Rosstandart canceled the previously issued TVTA for Chinese tourist buses Golden Dragon Carrier XML6957. Their trade and import into the Russian territory are prohibited.

The decision was taken due to the detection of a large number of violations during the course of tests, such as low:

• performance of braking and restraint systems;
  
• unreliability of seats and attachments;
  
• problems with glass safety and lighting equipment, etc.
  

The tests were carried out in 2019, but the importer refused to rectify the violations identified.

At the moment, Rosstandart is preparing a lawsuit to a court with the aim of a forced recalling of the buses transporting tourists on the territory of the Russian Federation, since the vehicles pose a serious danger and risk to the lives of passengers and pedestrians.

According to the data of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for June 2020, more than 100 Golden Dragon vehicles are operated in Russia.

We remind that inspections of buses of categories M2 and M3, carrying more than eight passengers at a time, were initiated by Rosstandart in the summer of 2019 after numerous fatal accidents.
